Weights & Measures approvals
Although our calculation library itself contains NMi approved flow calculations, Virtual Flow Computers are usually targeted for markets where metering systems are approved on a system-level only, rather than on a type-approval basis.
It is envisaged that the National Weights & Measures originated type approvals for PC-based measuring systems will become available within several years from now.

eXLerate and our VFC implementation is designed to anticipate such an approval with support for the anticipated approval process by providing revision and security mechanisms for configuration, calculations and parameter settings built in the software.
At this moment in time our VFC applications are in use in various countries where local metrology allows for this system approach.
The British Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have
evaluated, tested and subsequently approved our approach and
implementation of a large, offshore Virtual Flow Computing system
where 25 metering streams are measuring gas and liquid flows for
custody transfer in a fully redundant solution.
The metering system was installed in August 2007. See our Portfolio
Map for a description of the VFC system.
VPM approval
At this stage in time eXLerate holds an MID approval for its Virtual
Printer Management functionality, which is embedded in our software
platform.
An MID approval for its Virtual Flow Computer functionality is
not yet pending.
