Many gas companies maintain different systems to manage their pipeline network. SCADA systems, Billing systems and additional solutions have been implemented in the past years.

The new European regulations introducing an open market and acceptance of newer technology, such as ultrasonic meters, require new and adequate systems with a high degree of integration.

Integrated solution

Rather than implementing different system, eXLerate based solutions incorporate and integrate three major functions of a Network Management system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Billing, and Performance Monitoring.

Our solutions are based on eXLerate software and Flow-X hardware. A new approach with fully integrated functions is available. This opens new opportunities and allow for new a approach for pipeline operating companies.

The Flow-X/P panel mounted flow computer acts as a versatile communication unit, flow computer and data logger.

Its ability to communicate with local equipment installed in the field, even including third-party (existing) flow computers, gas chromatographs and ultrasonic meters to retrieve performance data is the first big step forward in terms of 'RTU' functionality.

The built-in data loggers of the Flow-X series allow for storage of up to 1GB of time-stamped and encrypted data to comply with metrology requirements.

When the logged data in uniform formats is retrieved by the central system, further processing takes place, such as storage of data in a relational database management system, the generation of custody transfer reports, operation of the pipeline, visualization of performance data & diagnostics, and more.
