Flow-X official launch in the USA

The Flow-X series product launch in the United States of America at the 2009 API Conference in Dallas

Product Launch at the Dallas API Conference

At the 2009 Spring Committee on Petroleum Measurement (COPM) Standards Meeting in Dallas, our new Flow-X® family of flow computers was introduced in the United States. The introduction was a remarkable event and clearly demonstrated that the flow metering world is ready for a new era of advanced flow computers.

Product Launch Event

The Flow-X was successfully launched at the 2009 Spring Committee on Petroleum Measurement (COPM) Standards Meeting.

API 2009-2The venue took place at the InterContinental Dallas Hotel,
Addison, Texas, from March 23-26, 2009 for the professional API audience of metering specialists.

We had the pleasure welcoming Committee members, visitors and exhibiting colleagues at our stand right at a central location of the exhibition room at the hosting hotel for a first acquaintance in the United States of our hardware and software products.

Various models of our new family of flow computer products were up and running and could be demonstrated, as well as our Flow-Xpress configuration, test and simulation software.

Our eXLerate software products and solutions also caught the attention of the audience because of its innovative concept and large worldwide install-base.

Metering specialists, end-users and equipment supplying manufacturers at the venue welcomed our products with great enthusiasm, as for many years only marginal updates of aging existing products became available.

We will shortly announce on our website where and how our flow computer products can be acquired in your region in the United States. We are currently signing up with a broad network of distributing and support partners for several regions in the United States, with our firm basis in Houston, Texas at our Spirit IT Inc. office.

We will keep you informed of further progress in the upcoming period!

Achieved results

Our highly innovative flow computer concept became a reality in just 24 months.

Never realized features such as true Level A pulse fidelity corrections on dual meter pulse inputs,  0.008% (or better!) uncertainty on 4-20mA analog inputs, superb 0.05°C (or better) uncertainty on 4-wire PT100 inputs became available and will significantly improve primary flow measurements.

Customers' long-time wish lists such as a wide ambient temperature range of the electronics while preserving the low uncertainty on analog inputs, multi-device HART channels as standard, and our next-generation transparent software environment with extensive test facilities have been finally realized.

As a result of our new hardware, we underwent a slight change: 'IT' in our company logo no longer means 'Information Technology', but as of today 'IT' in Spirit IT stands for Innovative Technologies.
