We are pleased to inform you that as part of our continued expansion, Mr. John Kvitvang has been appointed as Vice President at Spirit IT. mr. Kvitvang will start his career at Spirit IT as from July 1, 2010, and he will have his base in our headoffice in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

John Kvitvang's international industry knowledge, together with his proven leadership skills set a significant milestone in Spirit IT’s international growth. As Vice President, John will contribute to the continued business development of our company with our innovative products and services for end-users world wide.

Background information

John Kvitvang is born in Norway and he has had an international career with Royal Dutch Shell for more than 30 years. He retired from Shell on 31.12.09. John graduated from the Technical University of Trondheim with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. John started his career outside Shell (Norsk Hydro – assigned to Mongstad Refinery as a process engineer) and joined Shell in The Netherlands in 1979 as a Development Engineer, after which he completed a series of refinery assignments within Technology, Operations and Maintenance in The Netherlands, Kenya and Norway. John’s recent leadership experience comes from having been Refinery Manager of Sola Refinery in Norway (1996 – 2000) followed by Refinery Manager and Site Manager of Pernis Refinery in Rotterdam (2000 – 2003). In this period John was also Local Senior Oil Products Representative in The Netherlands. His many executive leadership responsibilities with Shell included service management and technical support to all Shell and Shell Joint Venture manufacturing assets worldwide. He has also sponsored various major Global Solutions third party accounts in the area of Manufacturing and Supply.

In 2008 Global Consultancy activities were added to his portfolio. He has lead a global organization with employees located in Amsterdam, The Hague, Houston, Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore. John has also been a member of the Shell Global Manufacturing Leadership Team, the Shell Country Coordination Team (CCT) in The Netherlands and Chairman of the Board of Norske Shell in the period 2004 - 2009.

In these positions John has fully explored all facets of Global Leadership coupled with deep functional experience in Oil and Chemicals Manufacturing.
