Basic Flow-X Training Course

The Basic Flow-X Training Course is a hands-on training for software engineers who would like to learn how to use the Flow-X technology in general, and how to setup applications using the Flow-Xpress software.

Course Description

If you are beginning to implement flow computer applications using Flow-X series you may find lots of functionality available to configure the software for advanced gas & liquid applications. This training course will walk you through the hardware, the architecture, and our Flow-Xpress software, with its full range of functions, tools and techniques, and place you well on your way to work as a professional Flow-X user.

Throughout the course you will learn how to develop fully functional Flow-X applications, including aspects like displays, reporting and calculations. The course is lectured by our experienced staff and has a hands-on approach, making the course highly interactive.

• Get an introduction to the Flow-X architecture, hardware, key concepts and user tools;
• Learn to operate and configure the flow computer with a selected template application;
• Learn to setup the inputs and outputs for connection to field devices;
• Learn to modify a basic application template;

Prerequisites

This course is targeted towards experienced flow computer users which are new to Flow-X. If you want to attend the course, you will get the best results when you have:

• A laptop with Excel 2003 or Excel 2007 preinstalled, with latest service packs installed.
• Extensive knowledge of flow computers in general;
• Knowledge of some specific flow computer in detail;
• Basic or advanced knowledge of metering for the oil & gas industry.

Course Material

At the beginning of the course you will receive:

• One set of three (3) reference manuals (Flow-X Installation Manual, Flow-X Application Manual, and Flow-X Function Reference Manual);
• One (1) Developers license for Flow-Xpress to be installed on your laptop.
