Flow-X/M: Single Stream Flow Computer Module

Being the basic building block of the Flow-X series of flow computers, a Flow-X/M module contains all the inputs and outputs for a more than complete metering stream.

Impressive features in a highly compact design.

A Flow-X/M stream module contains only two PCB's, one highly advanced and dedicated digital processor board, and one analog board, together offering all analog and digital inputs, outputs, CPU processing power, communication interfaces, memory and data storage for a fully equipped single stream flow computer.

Since the Flow-X/M module is a metrological approved single stream flow computer, it can be used as a standalone single stream applications or as a building block in a multi-stream rack based system.

Field connections can be made using standard terminal blocks, offering an adequate and industry standard solution for usage in cabinets and 19” racks. Its local display is able to show important metrological data such as input values, calculated values, constants and other recorded data.

With two TCP/IP Ethernet interfaces and two serial RS232/RS485 ports, its communication capabilities are more than sufficient to meet the most demanding requirements in terms of redundancy and flexibility.

As most modern electronic flow meters contain a digital communication interface, the Flow-X/M module is also equipped with required communication protocols to obtain measurement data digitally, for example by utilizing the HART protocol for transmitters, or Modbus to retrieve gas chromatograph data.

Its connectivity to supervisory computers is most efficient and flexible with two TCP/IP interfaces available in addition two freely configurable serial ports for Modbus or other serial protocols.

Owing to its efficient form factor, ease of use and flexibility, a Flow-X/M flow module is a cost-effective alternative to the traditional single stream panel mount or stand-alone flow computer. It is the single stream building block for all Spirit flow computer products and enclosures.

State-of-the-art dedicated electronic hardware design and production technologies are used. No more clumsy glass fuses to replace, and no more confusing dipswitches to set or to make mistakes with.

Never again loss of precious calibration data, not even at a full software reset as calibration data is stored in separate memory.

Truly the next generation of flow computing hardware and software.

Spirit IT and their partners are utilizing the latest electronic production and assembly technologies to assure the highest quality from their products. Each component, from simple resistor to microprocessor, is actively managed for lifetime obsolecence while tracing its logistics from manufacturer through to the end-user, on all our products, utilizing sophisticated ERP software for this purpose.
