Flow-X/M Key Features
An overview of the Flow-X features, as well as implemented calculations are given below.

The key features of each Flow-X/M flow module include:
- Surpassing yesterday's technology - designed and produced with today's knowledge & expertise and fully focused on the long-term future.
- Hardware design utilizing today's generation of microprocessor and Field Programmable Gate Array hardware, which allows for future hardware modifications and extensions preventing future hardware obsolescence on a long term basis. Read [here] more on our production facilities.
- Low power consumption and low heat dissipation yielding stable operation and enduring high performance.
- Calibration data is safely stored in dedicated EEPROM memory which retains its contents even when new firmware is loaded, in contrast to existing products. No annoying "calibration data lost" messages anymore!
- Accurate (3 ppm) hardware clock circuitry for extremely accurate pulse width and time based measurements.
- Full implementation of ISO-6551/IP252/API 5.5 for dual pulse inputs, including Level A, or Level B pulse integrity check, user selectable. Read [more].
- No more totalizer rollovers through high speed, high resolution 64-bit counters.
- No glass fuses, no dip-switches, no jumpers to set.
- Local display with clear multi-lingual interface supporting most languages, including most European languages, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Cyrillic and many more. Display contains at least 4 lines of text in accordance with common Metrology requirements.
- Minimum calculation cycle time is 100ms, user definable in 50ms steps. Default cycle time is 250ms.
- Dazzling calculation speed - a full AGA-8 compressibility calculation is completed in less than 1.5 ms.
- Network (TCP/IP Ethernet) supported report printing.
- Calibrated and compensated high-accuracy (+/- 0.008%) analog inputs for precise measurements while the Flow-X is used in a wide ambient temperature environment of 0-60ÂșC, realized with 24-bit analog-to-digital converters.
- Imperial units may be mixed with metric units in any combination, simultaneously.
- HART inputs (4x) utilizing separate signal loops. At each HART loop, multiple transmitters may be connected. The HART interfaces are standard features of each Flow-X/M module, not an optional extra !
- Fully synchronized redundant flow computer operation (optional).
- Intuitive and ultimately versatile configurations in familiar spreadsheet environment with Flow-Xpress configuration software. Our software allows for user-defined flow computer firmware at expert level.
- Full off-line application testing and easy verifications.
- Remote online debugging as well as fully secured upload from and download to spreadsheet.
- Functionality includes performance monitoring and diagnostics, for example for a connected ultrasonic meter, with real-time graphics and specific charts included.
- Virtually unlimited freely definable calculations, displays, reports, alarms, etc.
- Fast 32-bit microprocessor, math co-processor for floating point calculations, FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), 64MB DRAM, 32MB flash memory.
- Four (4) integrated buttons for local operation of flow computer.
- 1024 MB on-board non-volatile memory for historical logging purposes such as report archives, audit trail and logging of primary data.
- Secure web technology based local and remote operator interface; secure web server for direct integration in office networks with support of http and other.
- Designed for easy integration with high-end SCADA/HMI systems.
- Versatile and user configurable Modbus drivers for Modbus master, Modbus slave, and Modbus/TCP (server and also client). Map Flow-X to suit your existing interfaces.
