Comprehensive functionality for Oil & Gas

eXLerate 2003 includes a rich environment especially for the oil & gas industry in which many requirements from many different end-users have been included, and in which we have integrated our lessons learned.

Oil & Gas related functions are available from within the same consistent development environment, to create a homogenous, integrated operator interface with highest degree of functionality, stability, and user-friendliness.

These functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Fully synchronized redundancy, in a client/server environment. Support for multiple servers, with one Duty server and optional Standby servers. To learn more on redundancy, continue [here].

  • Integrated flow equations for the implementation of Virtual Flow Computer for gas and liquid applications. The equations include time series, weighted averages, accurate period and accumulative totalizers, and most international standards (AGA/ ISO/ ASTM/ API/ ...) for gas, liquid, steam etc.

  • Fiscal reporting functionality to generate, store and maintain the vital billing information for a metering station. Many functions are available within the eXLerate environment for this purpose, such as time weighted averages, flow weighted averages, 24-hour period latches, and much more to create high quality customized reports in an Excel environment.

  • Fully integrated support for 'As-Found', and 'As-Left' validation and calibration procedures for field equipment, such as transmitters, gas chromatographs, density analyzers etc. Validation functionality includes a Session Manager, with which an overview of the current validations can be monitored. Results of each validation or calibration can be stored in a MySQL database for historical overview and presentation, statistical analysis and reporting purposes.

  • Embedded performance monitoring and diagnostics functions for gas and liquid ultrasonic meters, gas chromatographs etc. We support most ultrasonic flow meters, including Sick-Maihak, Elster-Instromet, Caldon, Krohne, Daniel, FMC Kongsberg, RMG, and GE Panametrics.

  • CUSUM based drift monitoring functions, with which long-term drift can be detected for redundant transmitter pairs.

  • Fully integrated support for 64-bit double precision floating point data support throughout all calculations, displays and reports. This is an important feature for a metering solution as it avoids rounding of numerical data as seen in other generic HMI software packages.

 

  • maintentance 1Scripting language with standard tools (VBA) for user defined dialogs, time based functions, events, user procedures, event triggering, and application fine-tuning.

  • Web technology for Internet Explorer based remote clients, with automatically generated web-pages containing in real-time updated reports and operator displays. A user-defined navigation menu is offered for menu navigation independently from the application.

  • User defined periodic events, with automatic calculation of appertaining averages, including time weighted averages, flow weighted averages and many other.

  • Integrated support for MySQL based relational databases to store metering results. Support includes redundancy, with user-defined tables and databases.

  • Embedded control (SPC) charts, with a history of stored data, on a statistical basis.
